Carp Venues in the UK & France
Located between Reading and Newbury, just 45 miles from London, the Wasing Estate is one of the South of England's best kept secrets.
With over 4,000 acres of West Berkshire, Wasing is an unblemished jewel with magical ancient wooded lakes, and undulating farmland engraved by the meandering rivers, Enborne and Kennet. At the core of the Estate lies 'Wasing Park' with a prodigious variety of venues affording an unrivalled and discreet setting for festivals, weddings, parties, corporate events, as well as an established site for film and TV.
With our extensive lakes and rivers set in the attractive, tranquil haven of the Kennet Valley, Wasing has a fishery of which we are very proud.
Great care is taken to preserve and enhance the rural charm through a comprehensive management and bailiffing system which maintains the fishery, its environment, wildlife and privacy. What sets us apart from other fisheries, is the sheer tranquility set in a natural environment. At Wasing you will find abundant wildlife, but you may not see another soul.
Many of the waters are Sites of Special Scientific Interest, some are sited within the listed park of Wasing Place and others are in unspoilt countryside. All the fishing is subject to state-of-the-art locked gates to which members have keys which are replaced annually.
Membership of any of our syndicates is highly exclusive and all new members are vetted. There are no day tickets available on our waters.
We are able to boast record sized catches of Barbel, Chub, Pike and Perch, on the beats of the River Kennet. The Predator Lake, otherwise known as Rowney Lake, is a large 40-acre lake with depths of up to 25 feet; in which there are big Pike to 35lbs, and world record Perch up to 51/2lbs. Our other lakes are stocked with Carp and Tench, some of which are also approaching record sizes including an infamous 48lb Carp called Parrotface!
