Fishing in France ?? – Try some of the Best French Carp Fishing France

18 acres, 8 Anglers or 10 Anglers Max, 13 swims. Loads of late 20’s & 30’s, a good head of 40’s, a great selection of low to high 50’s and at least 4 - 60’s that we know of. Some HUGE Catfish to 96lb 8oz.

Chapel Lake has produced some absolutely outstanding fishing in the last 2 years and the start of the 2007 season was no different with loads of fantastic quality Carp & huge Catfish, all coming out to play.

Virtually every party that came to Chapel Lake had someone catch a very substantial Carp (50lb up to 66lb 4oz) which is a fantastic achievement.

This is not just a trophy fish lake and the quality and quantity of the fish from 20’s 30’s and 40’s that have been caught are testament to what a versatile Lake Chapel is and all the time there is a possibility that you may just hook into that ‘Catch of a Lifetime’.

The Lake takes individuals, groups, and can also be booked on an Exclusive Use basis.

The Lake Record of 63lb 8oz for 2006 was broken in May 2007 when Jamie Davenport caught this 66lb 4oz cracker!

Chapel Lake is a ‘Serpent’ like shape (like a Sea Horse, see the picture to the left) which is fed by a substantial river.

This brings in a whole host of food items which the Carp feed on.

There are a great number of the bread and butter mid 20’s and 30’s and good head of 40’s to 45+lbs and a number of early to late 50’s and at least 4 - 60+lb’ers that we know of.

The Lake Record is now 66lb 4oz. A 64lb 6oz Mirror Carp was stocked in April 06, a 55lb’er was stocked in 2004 and the Two Lumps stocked in Jan 06.

Lake Depths vary. For example, depths of 1m are found around the entrance where the River comes in, and go up to 5m at the Dam or Bridge end, which is located at the Chapel end of the lake.

The lake bed varies from soft silt, running down the middle of the lake where the river path flows, to some firm, sandy areas. The Margins are made up of lots of granite and stone rocks and boulders.

There are Lillies in the middle of the Lake and venturing into those should provide some interesting fishing! There are a few Oaks that have fallen into the Lake which make up some great features that have been expertly cut to provide you with a good chance of a nice little tickle on the end of your rod. Ooh Matron!

All in all, great fishing, in Peaceful, Beautiful surroundings.

Enjoy!
