Etoile lake is situated in the beautifull somme valley and is a friendly family run business that takes pride in doing all that it can to ensure its guests really enjoy their stay. We are only a 75 minute drive from Calais and a 45 minute drive from boulogne so we are able to offer great week long breaks or shorter breaks tailored to meet your needs with out the long drive—(you can have your rods out within the hour!)
The lake dates back to the 1700s when it was used for the digging of peat.It was purchased from the French peat fuel industry and successfully converted to the popular carp fishery that you see today. The site covers approx 7 acres and each swim has been positioned perfectly to give each angler his own space. We have 8 swims but keep bookings to a maximum of 6 to give our guests the opportunity to move around if they so wish. As well as lily pads, there are overhanging trees,an island,and some lovely margins to fish to and explore during your stay.
The lake is very well stocked with fish to 50lb plus with last years average catch weight in the mid 30lbs—(for full details and gallery please visit our website). We operate on a drive and survive basis with full use of facilities that include a bungalow with full kitchen use,toilet and hot shower block with fresh water,etc. The lovely local village is a minutes drive away and has shops/supermarket that caters for all your needs.
