Carp Venues in the UK & France
Lac Clement is a Beautiful lake situated in Normandy, close to the historic town of Mortain and with in a comfortable distance of all the Ferry ports.
At around 7 acres in size, it varies in depths from 2ft at the shallowest point to 14ft at the deeper dam end and the average depth is around 7ft. There is no weed to contend with and the bottom varies from soft silt spots to rock and gravel. Because the lake is spring fed and with good flow from the surrounding stream, water is constantly running through providing oxygen and keeping the depth at a set level. There is a small island at the one end of the lake with depths from 4 to 6ft around it.
The lake is stocked with around 270 Carp to over forty pounds with lots of 30lb fish and high twenties. There has been an additional stocking of fish added in December 2011 with 10 over thirty, five of which where over 35 lb.
In addition to the impressive stock of fish the facilities are excellent with a nice clean shower block and a separate mobile home with its own kitchen, another shower room, two double bedrooms and a tv area. There are also freezers onsite for keeping your baits frozen and plenty of English power points for charging any batteries.
We offer a full meal package for your weekly stay this consists of a full English breakfast, cereals, tea, coffee and juices and a home cooked evening meal all prepared from fresh daily. Food can be brought to your swim or served at the house for those who want a good social in between fishing. This is optional and drive and survive anglers are more than welcome.
Our holidays run from Saturday to Saturday for up to 6 people sharing a whole lake exclusive or up to 5 for single bookings. Peak season runs from the end of March to the end of October but we also offer winter fishing breaks at half price from November until the end of January.
