CEMEX Angling are pleased to announce the opening of the Blue Pool on the 3rd September 2007. This lake is booked on an exclusive basis. The price of £100 entitles yourself and up to 9 friends to fish for 24 hours. 10am till 10am. The Blue Pool has been closed for some 8 months for critical Health and Safety work to the banking that backs onto Burghfield big lake. This work has now been finished with the added bonus that the bank is now level and wide enough for anglers fishing either lake to be comfortable. The lake has always had a very large stock of fish and the decision was made to remove 150 fish from the lake to enable the fish left in there to flurish and grow to their capacity. The added effect of the removal of the fish is that the weed has returned to the now gin clear water. The fish started to put on the weight almost instantly, with the venue record standing at 39-10 mirror with a mid thirty common seen most days but as yet has remained uncaught. The carp are very easy to locate and present a bait to, but they find it even easier to get away with it!This venue is unique in that the fish get right into the edge and are very happy to feed where you can see them. There are a good number of other species present but your presentation and baits will dictate if you catch these or not. There are only two bream present in this venue and both are approaching double figures. With this fishery having a well deserved reputation as being a very good winter water with the fish feeding well all year round, this is the place to be when other fisheries are feeling the cold. Blue Pool Calendar Special Notes. No litter will be tolerated. You will be asked to leave if there is litter in or around your swim. No swim building or clearing is permitted. All fish caught must be returned to the water as soon as possible. Keepnets and carp sacks are not permitted. No rod may be left unattended with bait or hook in the water.
