Etang du Matougues was purchased way back in 2002. Since then the stock in this lake have grown and grown with the lake record now at over 57lb. It is so easy to find being only 200 miles from the ports of Calais, Boulogne and Dunkirk so there's no long trips through the French countryside to worry about.

This ex-gravel pit is over 30 years old with an approximate head of carp reaching 400+! The average depth is 3 metres and an island gives added fishing attraction. The lake is 14 acres with 15 swims giving ample room for a maximum of 10 anglers. Each of the double swim has plenty of room for two, two man bivvies, steps to the waters edge, a slabbed area with a pub style bench plus a weighing tripod and beany mat for weighing the fish properly.

The lake contains huge carp to over 57lbs along with giant catfish to over 100lb+. We also have grass carp to over 46lb and sturgeon to 30lb+.

A special feature of Bill’s Lake 1 is the famous River Marne which runs alongside. This river is notorious for its very big carp which are recorded to over 60lb. These fish are some of the hardest fighting fish you will ever catch and well worth the small price of a day ticket, only 15 euros! Our biggest carp out to a visitor who fished the river went to just over 40lb!. He commented... “It's a truly great experience to take a fish from moving water”.

The facilities we have an on-site include a Finnish Log Cabin where if booked, your evening meals are served plus there's a wooden terrace for when the weather is warmer for Bar-B-Q’s, a cup of tea or a cold beer. There is also a shower block that has 2 English style toilets and 2 showers.

For your safety the lake is fully fenced, gated and secure. So that you don’t feel completely alone we are on hand daily to check you have no problems and we give free advice and instruction to help you to catch your dream carp.

Moulicent is a stunning picturesque lake, set in the Orne region of Lower-Normandy, and is within the national Parc Du Perche conservation area. Moulicent is 4 acres in size and is situated within a wooded valley without being overlooked by any roads offering perfect solitude for the carp angler.

The lake received a stocking of carp some 10 years ago since then it has been left untouched and test fishing has revealed fish caught up to 30lb with bigger being sited, in addition to this a further 100 carp have been purchased and have been introduced in preparation of the 2008 season with the best fish going over 50lb

Four comfortable swims have been created on just one side of the lake, a maximum of 4 anglers per week is allowed the lake is very long so there is plenty of space for everyone.

Depths range from 8 feet at the dam end up to 3 feet in the shallows all snags have been removed from the lake and the lake bottom is mainly silt with hard clay patches.

The owner lives on site and is always on hand to help out and give advice on anything that’s required.

Near the lake is a fully equipped static caravan offering anglers all the comforts of home including a bait freezer for your use, TV with UK channels, kitchen and shower with WC, outside there is a seating area with BBQ overlooking the lake.

All local amenities are a short drive from the lake including shops, bars, restaurants and tobacconist
